Tour Illinois is a statewide destination marketing organization that specifically promotes to the group travel industry. Tour Illinois is a program of the Illinois Council of Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and serves in partnership with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Bureau of Tourism to promote Illinois as a great leisure group travel destination.
Tour Illinois participants work to build partnerships among the Illinois tourism industry in order to promote Illinois as a leisure group travel destination. Participants include attractions, convention & visitors bureaus, hotels, receptive operators, regional tourism councils, restaurants, and tour operators.
The objective of Tour Illinois is to increase awareness of the state as a leisure travel destination among tour operators and group travel planners. Through trade publications and presence at national trade shows, Tour Illinois seeks to make the state of Illinois a premier group travel destination.
